ASEER INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL is situated in the Aseer Region, southern Saudi Arabia and is fast becomming one of the most popular International Schools in the region. It serves the international community of Khamis, Abha and the surrounding area.
The school is co-educational for children aged 3-12 years. There are two classes for KG1 (4 years) KG2 (5 years).
There are also two classes each for Grade 1 (6 years) Grade II (7 years) and Grade III (8 years).
There is one class each for Grades IV, V, VI and VII.
Each year the school runs a highly successful summer school, which is open to all children in the area. The emphasis being on learning/improving English whilst having lots of fun!
In July & August 2003 students will be going to England to study at the Channel School of English under the supevision of the Principal - Mr: Ali Al-Hagan.
The Grades study the International Primary Curriculum as well as English and Arabic. For Maths the school follows the Cambridge Maths Direct course which is in line with the National curriculum of England and Wales.
It has a modern computer laboratory, equipped with 15 computers and internet access.
This year, the school has a theatre which it hopes to put to full use.
The normal school day is from 7.55am to 1.00pm with optional afterschool clubs starting at 1.30pm for activities such as French, Drama, Swimming, Crafts etc.,
The School has membership to the European Council for International Schools and The Council for International Schools.
